A bathroom that works for kids doesn't need a full renovation. A few changes make it safer, easier for little ones to use by themselves and much quicker to tidy after bath time.
Start with safety
- Stop slips. Wet floors and tubs are the biggest risk. Use a non-slip mat in the tub or shower.
- Lock away medicines and cleaners, or keep them up high. Our adhesive strap locks work on bathroom vanities with no drilling.
- Set the water heater to 120°F (49°C) or lower to help prevent scalds.
- Keep the toilet lid down and the door closed when the room isn't in use.
- Unplug appliances like hair dryers and keep cords out of reach.
Slip-proof the tub and shower
A suction mat gives little feet more grip.

Hang towels where kids can reach

Make the sink reachable
A sturdy step stool with a non-slip base lets kids wash hands and brush teeth on their own. Stay close while they're on it, and keep it away from the tub.

- A cup for rinsing, which doubles as a hair-rinse cup in the bath
- A low hook for pajamas
